We can proudly share that Parkside High CIC have secured £224,307 funding from the East Midlands Combined County Authority, through their Community Development Fund.
The funding has been awarded to Parkside High CIC, to deliver a programme called “Future Cotmanhay” over 24 months.
We will work together with a number of key local partners which includes, Ilkeston Town Football Club, P3, Home-Start Erewash, The Elka Project, Cotmanhay Community Network and Friends of Bennerley Viaduct.
– The recruitment of 2 members of staff dedicated to the community of Cotmanhay
– Creation of a Cotmanhay Community Assembly where residents can share ideas and discuss local issues important to them
– Around 30 volunteer opportunities for local people with a focus on up-skilling local youth and employability
– Community activities and improvements at Cotmanhay Community Wharf.
– £8K for a Community Chest to support local groups and organisations
The funding comes from a £3 million regional programme run by the new East Midlands Mayoral authority, which aims to support communities facing social and economic challenges.
Cotmanhay has been identified as one of the areas to receive support. The project aims to improve communication, encourage volunteering and help residents play a bigger role in shaping their community.
